EPL Match Preview: Brighton vs Wolverhampton - 29/04/2023

This weekend, there will be a full round of Premier League fixtures, including a match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers at the American Express Community Stadium. Currently, Brighton is in 8th place in the league with 49 points, while Wolverhampton Wanderers is in 13th place with 37 points.

Brighton had a disappointing week after losing in the FA Cup semi-final and in a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. Although they opened the scoring at Nottingham Forest, they ultimately lost the game 2-1 after conceding a late penalty.

Brighton has lost three of their last four matches in all competitions, including a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur and a penalty shootout defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final following a 0-0 draw.

However, Brighton has won two of their last five matches in the Premier League, and they have been undefeated in five of their last six home Premier League fixtures. Additionally, they have kept a clean sheet in four of their last six home Premier League games.

On the other hand, Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the Premier League on Tuesday night, which means they are undefeated in four of their last five fixtures.

Although they have won matches against Chelsea, Brentford, and Crystal Palace at home, they have only scored three goals in their last five away Premier League matches and have failed to win any of their five most recent away trips.

Brighton will be without the injured Evan Ferguson, Jeremy Sarmiento, and Adam Lallana, and they have doubts about the fitness of Tariq Lamptey and Jakub Moder.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will continue without forward Chiquinho, who has a long term knee injury, and Boubacar Traoré is a doubt due to a muscle problem.

Based on recent performances, Brighton should have the advantage in this match, especially since they have been playing well at home while Wolverhampton Wanderers has been struggling away. We expect Brighton to win with both teams scoring.
